WHITTIER REGIONAL VOCATIONAL TECHNICAL HIGH SCHOOL

New Athletic Field Construction

PROJECT SCOPE

Surveying, Permitting, Site/Civil/Drainage Engineering, Construction Survey, and Administration Serv

PROJECT TEAM

Traverse Landscape Architects

InSite and Traverse Landscape Architects successfully coordinated, designed, and permitted a new synthetic turf field for Whittier Regional Vocation High school. The new state of the art, 80,000 square feet facility replaces the original track and grass field at the school. The new turf with a sand/rubber infill and shock pad provides an even playing surface for multiple sports. The new eight lane electronically timed track allows for regional meets to be held at the school.

InSite provide a full existing condition and boundary survey for the property, provided full site engineering including an extensive underground drainage system to infiltrate and control all storm events. The project team successfully developed plans and coordinated the design of the project with City of Haverhill. InSite provided construction layout, construction oversite, inspections, testing, and closeout of the project. The project met all time frame requirements and project budgets.

Providence, RI

NARRAGANSETT BEER COMPANY

New Construction / Restaurant / Brewery

PROJECT SCOPE

Site Civil, Survey & Permitting

PROJECT TEAM

Peregrine Group LLC, CEC Engineering, Site Specific, Herk Works & Sage Environmental

InSite provided all site civil, survey and permitting for the project.  The survey tasks for the project included boundary, existing conditions, utility research, and ALTA survey for lending institutions.

Working with the project team, there was heavy site coordination with architect and MEP engineers on the layout and utilities on this very tight site.  Site design included new utilities, unique and innovative stormwater design including raised bioretention areas and pervious pavers to meet stringent Narragansett Bay Commission and RIDEM stormwater requirements.

The stormwater design had to factor in that the majority of the site is contaminated site and had to maintain capping requirements on site.

Insite also assisted the client to obtain a new sewer connection as well as wastewater discharge permit for the brewery operations through the Narragansett Bay Commission.

Warwick, Rhode Island

AAA NORTHEAST BRANCH OPERATIONS OFFICE

Commercial Office - Under Construction

PROJECT SCOPE

Surveying, Drone, Master and Final Design Plans, RIDEM permitting, RIDOT subdivision

PROJECT TEAM

McGeorge Architecture Interiors

Since 1902 AAA has assisted the American public with their automotive needs. Today AAA services over 50 million customers with 10 million in the Northeast alone. The growing client base has required AAA Northeast to expand the existing facilities in the market place.

InSite has worked with the project team to assist AAA in the reuse of a historic 40,000 sf mill in the heart of Warwick located on Centerville Road. The

building will be the new AAA Northeast branch operations with office, training, and support services.

InSite provided survey and drone scanning of site and building for preplanning of the site. Flood plain and site constraints required innovative site planning and stormwater management including uses of bio-retention areas and rain gardens throughout the site. A special permit and site plan approval will be obtained from the Warwick Planning Board as well as stormwater approval through RIDEM. IES is assisted with the subdivision and purchase of adjacent State of Rhode Island land.

RIDOT ROUTE 116

Municipal Services

PROJECT SCOPE

Boundary Retracement 8.5 mile Corridor Survey & Existing Conditions Plans RIDOT Pilot Project Civil

PROJECT TEAM

RIDOT, InSite Engineering

InSite Engineering is surveying an 8 mile section of Route 116 in Cumberland, Lincoln and Smithfield for the Rhode Island Department of Transportation.  Through the use of both RTK GNSS technology and traditional traverse, Class I survey recovered boundary lines in an area not surveyed in over 50 years and having an extended corridor width of 300 feet in sections.

RIDOT will be utilizing the information gathered for a corridor study focusing on the determination of state highway layout and land use of abutting property owners. This work is part of a pilot program to implement GIS data cross platforms  - a “Map it once; use it many times” approach.
