St. Anns Cemetery & New Mausoleum Project
January 31, 2020 - Having worked with the Diocese of Providence at the St Anns Cemetary on a number of past projects, InSite was once again hired to perform a boundary survey and a existing conditions and topographic survey to a portion of the 80 acre “Farm” section of St Anns cemetery.
In addition, Insite provided site planning for the 20,000 S.F. mausoleum in the heart the cemetery. We provided site layout, utility design and storm water measures including bioretention, infiltration ponds, and underground infiltration systems that met all RIDEM requirements, as well as provided an aesthetically pleasing design. An OWTS system was also designed for the building.
The new mausoleum was designed to reflect the Providence cathedral with twin towers on the exterior, internal chapel, and 35’ cathedral ceilings. There are 3,150 crypts and 430 niches internal of structure and 2,500 crypts and 550 niches locates on the exterior. The project is currently in mid-construction and is to be completed in two phases. Stay tuned for more as the project continues to move to completion.
